A story of “Italian Excellence” born in 1948, Minotti – the family-owned company – is internationally recognised for its contemporary indoor and outdoor furniture in the residential, hospitality and yachting segments.

Minotti, renowned for its elegant Made in Italy designs for more than 75 years, strengthens its multi-year presence in the Middle East with the opening of its first flagship store in Dubai in collaboration with the long-standing local partner Al Tayer Insignia.

Inspired by the architecture of a villa, the showroom is located in the vibrant heart of the exclusive Jumeirah district and spreads over two levels, covering a total area of approximately 900 square metres. The opening expands on Minotti’s existing global presence in 80 countries through a network of more than 60 flagship stores and over 300 qualified dealers.

Conceived by the creative department of the company Minotti Studio, the interior design project reveals itself as a refined oasis, which combines the building’s original elements with the distinctive Minotti style, in an exhibition itinerary that turns into an engaging design experience.

“The GCC are one of the most relevant markets for our brand” comments Renato Minotti, co-CEO of Minotti “and the opening of the first flagship store in Dubai is a decisive achievement for our strategic and business objectives, as well as for the expansion of our network.”

“We are extremely proud of this opening in partnership with Al Tayer Insignia, with whom we share values and aesthetic, allowing us to be even closer to local customers. Dubai is an international and dynamic city, with consumers always looking for unique products, made with the finest Italian quality and fond of Minotti’s style” adds Roberto Minotti, Minotti’s co-CEO.

The façade is characterised by a large portal that welcomes visitors into an outdoor lobby, inviting them to immerse themselves in a sophisticated scenario with high ceilings and filled with natural light filtering through large windows.

Once inside, the majestic steel columns, a chestnut-coloured lacquered fireplace and a unique winter garden convey a dynamic yet balanced rhythm to the living, lounge and dining areas: a scenographic space that highlights the furnishings on show, including the novelties of the 2024 Collection, such as the modular seating systems Yves by Hannes Peer and Supermoon by Giampiero Tagliaferri, along with some of the brand’s best-sellers.

Every detail of the set-up is taken care of with sartorial attention, in a skilful combination of straight and sinuous lines and in a vivid interplay of light and shadow enriched by a wealth of materials and colours: moka-coloured oak panelling contrasts with silver Iranian travertine, steel with satin and reflective chrome finishes, and concrete, creating a palette of brown and grey shades that expresses great sophistication.

While the ground floor reinterprets the brand’s values in an original way, the first floor faithfully reproduces the interior of a residential space, where living, dining areas along with a master bedroom recreate intimate and charming atmospheres. On the same floor there is also a wide meeting room and two private areas for the creation of interior design projects.

Finally, there is an area dedicated to the outdoor world, in which iconic furnishings such as the Patio seating system by GamFratesi and the Bellagio Outdoor table by Gordon Guillaumier stand out, in harmonious dialogue with the Torii Nest Outdoor seating designed by Nendo. The new flagship store also has a second entrance providing a parking area, with access to the exhibition space through a foyer embellished with several designs from the Minotti collections.

Dee Sarai, CEO of Al Tayer Insignia, comments “Al Tayer Insignia is delighted to partner with Minotti for its first store opening in Dubai. Synonymous with craftsmanship and design excellence, Minotti is dedicated to bringing world-class luxury to the region and meeting the needs of consumers for high-quality furnishings.”.

Perfectly in harmony with the surrounding architectural context, the Minotti Dubai flagship store marks a milestone for the brand’s expansion in Middle East with local partner Al Tayer Insignia, offering an exclusive destination for contemporary design that combines authentic Italian values with an international attitude.

Sotheby’s recent $1 billion investment from Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund, ADQ, has provided the auction house with a vital cash influx to alleviate debt and support CEO Charles Stewart’s vision of evolving Sotheby’s into a luxury brand with influence beyond the art sector. This partnership aligns with Abu Dhabi’s cultural aspirations, as the UAE capital was recently declared the world’s wealthiest city due to its sovereign assets.

Abu Dhabi’s ambition to establish itself as a cultural and luxury hub began over a decade ago with the $27 billion Saadiyat Island project, which aimed to make the UAE a cultural tourism destination. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, completed in 2017 for $650 million, was a major milestone of this development, branding itself as the “world’s first universal museum” for its expansive, global art perspective. In 2026, the Louvre will be joined by the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, a Frank Gehry-designed museum that plans to juxtapose Western contemporary artists with influential voices from the Middle East and Asia.

These cultural efforts are rooted in the UAE’s 2005 strategy to diversify its economy and establish itself as a major destination for art and tourism. Part of this initiative was Abu Dhabi Art, an annual fair that began in 2007 and rebranded in 2009 under the Abu Dhabi Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC). Despite its ambitions to foster transnational cultural exchange, the fair has struggled to compete with Dubai’s booming commercial art scene, which hosts the majority of galleries and auction house headquarters in the region. Ben Floyd, CEO of Art Dubai, observes that while Dubai has attracted a strong commercial art market, Abu Dhabi has prioritized institutional development, positioning itself as a quieter, more traditional “older brother” to Dubai’s dynamic, commercial scene.

However, Abu Dhabi Art’s position might soon change. Rumors have circulated about a potential deal for Art Basel to take over management of the fair, with sources indicating a $20 million investment as part of the arrangement. Although neither Art Basel nor TDIC have confirmed the speculations, the move could signify a strategic shift for Abu Dhabi Art under the guidance of Art Basel, which has found success with recent projects in Paris. Art Basel’s parent company, MCH Group, has faced financial difficulties with a reported 41% net income decline, fueling the need for profitable expansions.

The UAE’s booming status as a haven for high-net-worth individuals has fueled interest from global luxury brands and investors. Over recent years, a significant number of Western billionaires have relocated to the UAE, attracted by its tax benefits, as well as residents from the Middle East who view the UAE as a politically stable base. This influx has made the UAE an attractive prospect for art fairs, which must adapt to where high-spending collectors are likely to congregate.

In an era where technology and nature increasingly intertwine, ARBOLIVIDA emerges as a visionary beacon, redefining luxury interior design through an exquisite fusion of art, nature, and life. More than a brand, ARBOLIVIDA curates a legacy—a transcendent movement celebrating the essence of existence, the artistry of creation, and the timeless bond between humanity and the natural world. Each masterpiece pays homage to nature’s unparalleled splendor, meticulously crafted not merely to adorn spaces but to transform the very soul of our environments.

“We don’t just create interior art pieces; we craft profound narratives that inspire and evoke
deep emotions. Our mission is to weave the beauty of nature into the fabric of daily life,
elevating it to an indispensable element of contemporary living,” says Mike Kobak, co-founder
of ARBOLIVIDA.

ARBOLIVIDA’s crowning achievement is the signature “plantarium”— a self-sustaining
ecosystem elegantly encased in pristine crystal glass. Each plantarium is a labor of love,
requiring over 2,000 hours of meticulous craftsmanship to emerge as a breathtaking,
one-of-a-kind masterpiece. These living, breathing ecosystems mimic natural processes like the
water cycle and photosynthesis, offering maximum impact on interior ambiance with minimal
maintenance.

Every aspect of these living ecosystems reflects ARBOLIVIDA’s unwavering commitment to luxury and unparalleled quality. Encased in high-grade crystal glass for flawless clarity, the
ecosystems rest upon a substrate enriched with silver and gold nuggets. Silver’s antiseptic
properties enhance plant health and longevity, while the infusion of gold adds a layer of
opulence, elevating each piece to a work of art. By sourcing rare and exotic plants from the
farthest corners of the globe, ARBOLIVIDA ensures each plantarium is truly unique. The
collections feature a vibrant tapestry of globally sourced mosses—from the lush landscapes of
Missouri to the serene gardens of Japan and the emerald meadows of Ireland—creating
textures and visuals that captivate and enchant.

Reviving the historical Wardian case, a 19th-century symbol of status and sophistication among
the elite, ARBOLIVIDA reimagines this classic with a contemporary twist. Their moder
interpretation infuses today’s interiors with a touch of heritage and timeless elegance,
seamlessly bridging past and present in a narrative of style.

Expanding beyond plantariums, ARBOLIVIDA integrates nature into high-end custom furniture.
Their extraordinary creations include seamless five-meter tables equipped with advanced
ventilation systems to nurture enclosed plant life. These pieces harmoniously blend functionality
with artistic allure, crafted from the finest materials to ensure both longevity and luxury.

ARBOLIVIDA’s dedication to excellence is further exemplified by their comprehensive
maintenance services and an unmatched one-year guarantee, providing clients with lasting
satisfaction and confidence in their investment.

Poised for international acclaim, ARBOLIVIDA makes its grand debut in Dubai—the epitome of

A Fresh New Look

Huda Beauty, the influential Dubai-based cosmetics brand founded by Huda Kattan, is embarking on a major rebranding initiative. The new look, featuring a redesigned logo and updated packaging, marks a significant shift in the brand’s visual identity. Revealed in a video on Kattan’s YouTube channel, which has amassed over one million views, the rebranding effort has captivated both long-time fans and new followers.

The Redesigned Logo

At the heart of the rebranding is the new logo, which sports a lowercase, sans-serif font with rounded edges. This modern design aims to project a “bold but approachable” image, complemented by a newly introduced monogram. The original logo, created by Kattan’s sister-in-law, was a key symbol of the brand’s origins and early success. However, as Huda Beauty has evolved, the need for a more contemporary visual representation became clear.

Aligning with Brand Values

Kattan explained the rationale behind the rebranding: “This is an opportunity for us to define who we are as a brand, who we are in the industry. We talk about empowerment and feelings, but we haven’t yet created that as a brand for our look and feel.” This statement underscores a strategic shift towards aligning the brand’s visual identity with its core values of empowerment and inclusivity. The rebranding represents a move from focusing solely on product quality to ensuring that packaging and overall brand appearance reflect the brand’s ethos.

Enhanced Packaging Design

The new packaging will be gradually introduced across Huda Beauty’s product range, starting with the Easy Bake Loose Powder. This updated design features the new logo, rounded corners, and embossed lettering, all aimed at improving both aesthetic appeal and functionality. The addition of a removable flexible sifter is designed to enhance user experience and convenience.

Broader Restructuring

The rebranding is part of a larger internal restructuring at Huda Beauty, which includes the discontinuation of the Glowish makeup/skincare hybrid line. This decision suggests a strategic refocus on core products and streamlining the brand’s offerings. The shift highlights the brand’s commitment to refining its product range and strengthening its market position.

Industry Trends

Huda Beauty’s rebranding reflects a broader trend in the beauty industry where visual identity and customer experience are increasingly prioritized. Brands such as Fenty Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury have also undergone rebranding efforts to refresh their images and reinforce their market presence. A strong brand identity is essential for standing out in a competitive market, and Huda Beauty’s new look is designed to achieve just that.

Embracing Change

Kattan shared her personal reflections on the rebranding: “Saying goodbye to the old logo was really hard. There was this aspect of shedding your skin, and saying goodbye to who you were. That old logo represents so much of our brand, of me, and all the struggles I went through.” This sentiment highlights the emotional and symbolic significance of the change, acknowledging that rebranding involves both visual and emotional transitions. Embracing such change is a crucial step in evolving a brand to meet new challenges and opportunities.

Looking Ahead

Huda Beauty’s rebranding initiative marks a pivotal evolution for the brand, aligning its visual identity with its core values of empowerment and innovation. The new logo and packaging are designed to enhance both aesthetic appeal and functionality, reflecting a broader trend in the beauty industry towards a more cohesive and contemporary brand presence. As Huda Beauty moves forward with this refreshed look, it aims to solidify its position as a leader in the global beauty market, continuing to inspire and connect with its diverse audience
