Jil Sander, the renowned minimalist fashion label, has ventured into the world of luxury fragrances with its debut Olfactory Series 1. Crafting Fragrance with Precision and Minimalism: Jil Sander

The six fragrances in Olfactory Series 1 embody Jil Sander’s signature minimalist ethos while pushing the boundaries of traditional scent composition. Created in collaboration with Coty, a beauty powerhouse, the collection employs a radical approach to fragrance-making. Instead of relying on an overload of ingredients, the brand focuses on three essential natural components complemented by aldehydes—a synthetic molecule that enhances the complexity of each scent. The perfumes are also crafted using upcycled carbon emissions-derived alcohol, which aligns with the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

The guiding principle behind the fragrance line is to recalibrate traditional proportions, allowing for fresh interpretations of classic notes. The six scents include:

In partnership with Formafantasma, a Milan and Rotterdam-based design studio, the packaging reflects organic, non-symmetrical shapes and unique glass repartitions.
